American art pottery lidded jar. 6" H x 5.25" diameter. Provenance: Removed from the Financial District estate of a collector.

Mint condition. Stunning piece. Unable to read the potters mark, but this piece was made by a true master.

Seems like a cookie jar of sorts. Asian inspired, minimal. Amazing texture - crosshatch, almost like wood or elephant hide - and technique with glaze. Appears to have some flying birds on the side.

Make an offer. I believe it is American Studio Pottery, but could very well be Japanese.
