Beautiful Chinese Ginger Jar
Stoneware Chinese ginger jar in good condition but missing its lid.
The jar dates from around the late Ming Period (c1630) and is decorated with a coastal scene. These ginger jars were used to carry spices and their shape and robustness means that they often survive in reasonable condition.
