Robinson Clay Company Akron Ohio (American, early 20th century). A stoneware water color model named "Rebecca at the Well". Approx: h. 13.5", w. 9.25". Robinson Clay Products Company was in existence from 1900-1915.


What sets this piece apart in particular? Is a secondary signature or stamped on the front right below the lid. See images.


This beauty features a unique detailed molded decoration. The Front features “Rebecca at the Well”, a Pioneer Woman at a Well with a Log Cabin and Stump with Embedded Axe to her left-- all in a Beaded Border and Framed by Stalks.  The Back Features an Elaborate Floral Bouquet.  All the decoration is highlighted in blue. The lid features a sunflower on the knob, a wreath of foliage, and a stripe. Stands 13" to the top of the knob. Marked 3 for 3 Gallon.

Includes original spigot (is a little bit loose) but no breakage. Can't find a chip anywhere on it. Glaze is as per photos. Please feel free to ask for more if you have specific things you want to see!

Truly excellent condition.

As featured in Antiques Today Magazine in June 1975. True collector's piece. Better condition than any I can find anywhere.
